PREJUÍZOS E LUCROS QUE JESUS DEU na vida deste homem.

I. PREJUÍZOS QUE JESUS DEU

1. JESUS DEU PREJUÍZO AOS DEMONIOS

§ Quando Jesus perguntou o nome do demonio – eles responderam: Legião é o meu nome, porque somos muitos. – v.9

§ Sabe quantos soldados formavam uma legião: 6 mil – Eram 6 mil demonios.

§ Um só demonio possuindo uma pessoa – o estrago é grande – Mt 12:43-45 diz: E, QUANDO O ESPÍRITO IMUNDO TEM SAÍDO DO HOMEM, ANDA POR LUGARES ÁRIDOS, BUSCANDO REPOUSO, E NÃO ENCONTRA. ENTÃO DIZ: VOLTAREI PARA MINHA CASA DONDE SAÍ. E, VOLTANDO ACHA-A DESOCUPADA, VARRIDA E ADORNADA.

2º.) Os demonios o inquietavam – vivia inquieto – v.5

3º.) Os demonios lhe tiraram o sono – v.5

- Ilustr: (O jovem Rodrigo – B. Alto) – Sl 4:8, 127:3

4º.) Os demonios feriam, machucavam o rapaz – v.5

§ Jesus deu prejuízo aos demonios:

3 verdades que os demonios disseram para Jesus:

1ª.) Reconheceram que Jesus era Deusv.6 E QUANDO VIU JESUS DE LONGE, CORREU E ADOROU-O

3ª.) Confesaram que Jesus era o Filho de Deus – v. 7 QUE TENHO EU CONTIGO JESUS FILHO DO DEUS ALTISSIMO...

- Começaram a ensaiar o que naquele dia – prostrados dirão – Fp 2:9-11

4ª.) Pediram que não fossem condenados antes do tempov.7 CONJURO-TE POR DEUS, QUE NÃO ME ATORMENTES.

*ilustr: (Um demonio disse: - Voces pregam que Jesus vem – e, eu sei que Ele vem...)

2. JESUS DEU PREJUÍZO PARA OS PORCOS

v. 12, 13 E TODOS AQUELES DEMONIOS LHE ROGARAM DIZENDO: MANDA-NOS PARA AQUELES PORCOS, PARA QUE ENTREMOS NELES.

E, JESUS LOGO LHO PERMITIU.

– perdemos o colega, agora ele é crente...

- Lc 19:10, Jo 10:10, Mt 26:28, Ap 5:9

CANTARES E SEUS SERMÕES (Em Ingles)

SONG OF SONGS AND ITS SERMONS

Pastor Marcos Antonio

Acknowledgement

Homiletics is the art of preaching. Writing a book on sermons from the book of Song of Songs is another art. The art of giving a biblical typology to the poetic and metaphoric message of Song of Songs brought up the special meaning of the Church concerning to her relation with Christ.

Solomon’s poetry, in the book of Song of Songs, is very explicit however, it’s very pure in its goal.

Jewish scholars believe that every love tale, poetically written, shows, allegorically, the love of God for His people Israel. Others understand it is about marriage, because of the celebration of love between Solomon and his beloved.

In the Christians’ sight, the message of Song of Songs is seen as a coded prophecy, which can be understood only by those who have eyes to see and understanding to decode the mysteries of God. In this special case, typologically speaking, Solomon portraits his fervent love for a poor peasant from a place called Shulam.

There are those who, exaggeratedly, mystify the elements that compose this story, where the natural fuses into the supernatural and, then, ends up as a goal of worship.

Nevertheless, regardless the literal or figurative meaning that the text of Song of Songs presents, it can be interpreted without harming the law of biblical hermeneutics. It has a special typology that offers to the preachers the richness to apply its special symbolism to Christian life.

Pastor Marcos Antonio knew to apply, to the figurative language of the text of Song of Songs, an excellent spiritual meaning, without harming homiletics too.

The sermons created on the typology of this book are very rich in their applications. It is for certain that those who will use these notes will have to be careful so the imagination won’t steal from them the commitment with the truth inserted in the text.

Pastor Marcos, is a very creative preacher however, faithful to the right interpretation of God’s Word. In this book, his clarity and clairvoyance transcended all speculation. With boldness, he was able to respect the text, without denying us the wealth of the typology in question.

May this book be just a seed of many other good homiletics literary works.

At the Mount of Olives, Jesus used the lily to exemplify God’s care for us – Mat 6:28

It Reveals us that God takes care of His children even more – 1 Pe 5:7, Php 4:19

THE KING’S CARRIAGE,

THE KING’S WARRIORS

AND THE KING’S CROWN

Look! It is Solomon's carriage, escorted by sixty warriors, the noblest of Israel, all of them wearing the sword, all experienced in battle, each with his sword at his side, prepared for the terrors of the night. King Solomon made for himself the carriage; he made it of wood from Lebanon. Its posts he made of silver, its base of gold. Its seat was upholstered with purple, its interior lovingly inlaid by the daughters of Jerusalem. Come out, you daughters of Zion, and look at King Solomon wearing the crown, the crown with which his mother crowned him on the day of his wedding, the day his heart rejoiced.

Ss 3:7-11

1. The king’s carriage – Look! It is Solomon's carriage...

· Just like King Solomon drove his beloved, our King Jesus takes us in his Salvation carriage – Hab 3:8

2. The king’s warriors - ... escorted by sixty warriors...

· The journey of the royal carriage through the desert was escorted by sixty brave warriors of King Solomon. The queen was protected from all dangers and free from the terrors of the night. That same way, King Jesus protects his Church by sending his angels – Ps 34:7, 91:11, Heb 1:14

3. The king’s crown - ... Come out, you daughters of Zion, and look at King Solomon wearing the crown, the crown with which his mother crowned him on the day of his wedding, the day his heart rejoiced.

· Today we do not see our Christ crowned with thorns, instead, we see him crowned with glory and honor.

But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, now crowned with glory and honor... – Heb 2:9

While Solomon was crowned by his mother. Our King Jesus was crowned by his Father:

... you crowned him with glory and honor and put everything under his feet – Heb 2:7

Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name… – Php 2:9

A RENEWED CHURCH

Your plants are an orchard of pomegranates with choice fruits, with henna and nard, nard and saffron, calamus and cinnamon, with every kind of incense tree, with myrrh and aloes and all the finest spices.

Ss 4:13-14

1. Your renewal is like an orchard of pomegranates

· The pomegranate is a fruit that nourishes.

· A renewed church feeds the world with the Word of God –Mt 14:16

2. Your renewal is like cyprest

· The cyprest is a type of wood that is light and flexible, easy to work with.

· A renewed church is humble, and allows itself to be worked with, by the Carpenter of Nazareth –Ac 9:6

3. Your renewal is like nard

· The nard produces expensive perfume. Such perfume was extracted by its root.

· A renewed church has the fragrance of Christ – 2 Co 2:14-16

4. Your renewal is like saffron

· The saffron, with its violet and red flowers, from which a dye used to be extracted for different purposes in the old days. Wherever a renewed church is, it adorns the place with its colors of joy. Joseph had a coat of many colors – Gn 37:3, that spiritually tells us that the church has to have a life full of colors, meaning, one that is full of joy and creative. – Ne 8:10, Pr 15:13

5. Your renewal is like calamus

· The calamus is also known as a fragrant cane with a very sweet taste.

· A renewed church is not sour. Instead, its heart is sweet and always ready to love – 1 Jn 4:11, 19-21

6. Your renewal is like cinnamon

· The cinnamon was used to warm up the travelers during cold nights.

· A renewed church is not cold, instead, it is fervent in the Spirit – Rm 12:11, Ac 2:1-4, Mt 3:11

7. Your renewal is like incense trees

· They were the trees that provided incense.

· A renewed church, is a church of prayer. Rev 5:8, reveals to us that prayer is incense. Like David said: May my prayer be counted as (A)incense before You... – Ps 141:2

8. Your renewal is like mirrh

· The mirrh had been used as an effective medicine since the old times, as an anasthetic, as well as to heal scars.

· A renewed church brings healing and relief to the hurt –Lk 10:33,34

9. Your renewal is like aloes

· The aloes has a great power to preserve. The bodies in Israel, were embalmed with mirrh and aloes, according to Jewish rituals –Jn 19:39

· A renewed church has the grace to preserve and restore. We know that this world has not deteriorated in its entirety because of the church – Mt 5:13

WELL OF LIVING WATER

You are a garden fountain, a well of flowing water streaming down from Lebanon.

Ss 4:15

1. Our well cannot dry up

· When I kept silent, my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long. For day and night your hand was heavy upon me; my strength was sapped as in the heat of summer. – Ps 32:3-4

2. Our well cannot be broken

· My people have committed two sins: They have forsaken me, the spring of living water, and have dug their own cisterns, broken cisterns that cannot hold water. – Jer 2:13

3. Our well cannot be unequipped

· Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life.– Pr 4:23

4. Our well cannot be stuffed

So all the wells that his father's servants had dug in the time of his father Abraham, the Philistines stopped up, filling them with earth. Then Abimelech said to Isaac, "Move away from us; you have become too powerful for us." So Isaac moved away from there and encamped in the Valley of Gerar and settled there. 18 Isaac reopened the wells that had been dug in the time of his father Abraham, which the Philistines had stopped up after Abraham died, and he gave them the same names his father had given them. Isaac's servants dug in the valley and discovered a well of fresh water there. - Gn 26:15-19

5. Our well should have living water

· Whoever believes in me, as[a] the Scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him. – Jn 7:38

…but whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life. – Jn 4:14

FOUR WAYS TO SPREAD THE SWEET FRAGRANCE OF CHRIST

Awake, north wind, and come, south wind! Blow on my garden, that its fragrance may spread abroad...

Ss 4:16

1. Through the authentic christian testimony

· Ss 3:6 Who is this coming up from the desert like a column of smoke, perfumed with myrrh and incense made from all the spices of the merchant.

· The perfume, in the Bible, tells us about testimony. Let our testimony be authentic, so that the Name of the Lord may be glorified. – Mt 5:14, Php 2:15

2. Through the real bronkenness

· Mk 14:3 While he was in Bethany, reclining at the table in the home of a man known as Simon the Leper, a woman came with an alabaster jar of very expensive perfume, made of pure nard. She broke the jar and poured the perfume on his head. If there is something that

· God does not despise is a bronken spirit – Ps 51:17

3. Through the victory granted by Christ

· 2 Co 2:14 But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumphal procession in Christ and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of him..

· Paul expresses in this passage what was known to him: Whenever Rome conquered an enemy, the people burned incense when the army returned to Rome with its trophees of conquest. The smell would spread out proclaiming the great victory. In the same way, Christ’s victory over the enemy, makes us spread this precious perfume everywhere, today. – 1 Co 2:14-16

HOW IS YOUR BELOVED BETTER THAN OTHERS...

How is your beloved better than others,...

Ss 5:9

1. My lover is the most outstanding

· Ss 5:10 My lover is radiant and ruddy, outstanding among ten thousand..

· No one is more outstanding than our beloved Saviour, Jesus. – Php 2:9-11

2. My lover is the most beautiful

· His face was like the sun shining in all its brilliance.Rev 1:16

· That is why we go to the house of the Lord to gaze upon his Beauty, He is the most beautiful. – Ps 27:4

3. My lover is the most annointed

· Heb 1:9 You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness; therefore God, your God, has set you above your companions by anointing you with the oil of joy.

· No angel, no king, no prophet or priest in Israel, was more annointed than Jesus. – Jn 3:34, Lk 4:18,19

4. My lover is the bravest

· Lk 11:21-22 When a strong man, fully armed, guards his own house, his possessions are safe. 22But when someone stronger attacks and overpowers him, he takes away the armor in which the man trusted and divides up the spoils.

· Our Lord is a conqueror in all battles. He is a rod of war.

WHEN THE LOVER IS HUNGRY

My beloved is gone down into his garden, to the beds of spices, to feed in the gardens, and to gather lilies. I am my beloved's, and my beloved is mine: he feedeth among the lilies (KJV).

Ss 6:2-3

1. When the church is hungry, it comes to the mouth of God to be fed:

· Gods mouth is the believer’s restaurant: ... Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God. – Mt 4:4

2. When God’s hungry, he comes to our mouth to be fed:

· Ss 6:2-3 - tells us that the lover has gone down the into his garden to feed himself. Note the expression: HIS GARDEN. Indeed he never goes down into gardens that do not belong to him. The church is his garden Ss 4:12, and it is from her that he expects to gather the fruit for him to be fed.

This fruit is gathered on our lips - Therefore, we always offer from them to God. A sacrifice of praise, meaning, the fruit of our lips, that confess his name.

Explaining note:

By mentioning that God is hungry (in this case, to receive our praise), i am not saying that God has needs- which would be a serious mistake of the theological interpretation. God does not depend on anything and does not need anything. He is all sufficient. He is sovereign.

A.W. Tozer said: To admit that God needs anything, would be to admiting an incomplete divine being. Necessity is a word related to the creation, and cannot be used for the Creator.”

But using the poetic and prophetic language in Song of songs, i can emphisize with joy, the pleasure of our Beloved Lord, to come to meet us and rejoice in taking the fruit of our lips, that is a sacrifice of praise.

If I were hungry I would not tell you, for the world is mine, and all that is in it. Do I eat the flesh of bulls or drink the blood of goats? Sacrifice thank offerings to God…

Ps 50:12-14

BEAUTIFUL, LOVELY, AND MAJESTIC

You are beautiful, my darling, as Tirzah, lovely as Jerusalem, majestic as troops with banners.

Ss 6:10

Precious lessons that the moon teaches us in regards to the church:

1. The moon comes up after the sun goes down

· The Church appeared after Jesus raise up to Heaven – Ac 2

2. The moon does not have its own light. Its

light is a reflection of the sun

5.The moon has influence over the Earth

For example: the tides of the sea, etc...

· The church’s role is to influence the world. It is sad when the opposite happens. – Mt 5:13-16

HOW BEAUTIFUL ARE YOUR FEET

How beautiful your sandaled feet, O prince's daughter!!

2. Because the world is under evil

· 1 Jn 5:19 We know that we are children of God, and that the whole world is under the control of the evil one.

3. Because this is the last hour

· 1 Jn 2:18 Dear children, this is the last hour; and as you have heard that the antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come. This is how we know it is the last hour.

4. Because our city is not here

· Php 3:20 But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ.

5. Because it is better to be with you

· Php 1:21-23 For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain. 22If I am to go on living in the body, this will mean fruitful labor for me. Yet what shall I choose? I do not know! I am torn between the two: I desire to depart and be with Christ, which is better by far.
